We're Moving!

So I've tested this blogging thing out and have really enjoyed it. I figured it's time to jump ship to my own site and drop the blogspot address. My new website can be found at theLGL.com. Click on the Life and Times link for the blog. It is not completely built yet but almost there. Hope everyone follows the moving trucks over, don't forget the house warming gift.

Picture Of The Day

Found this while researching Jackie Robinson for a print that I want to do. He grew up in Pasadena and I grew up in Pasadena, nuff said. Only guy to letter in 4 sports at UCLA, his brother Mack finished 2nd to Jesse Owens in the Berlin Olympics and he played for a little team called the Dodgers among many many many other accomplishments. Pretty much top 5 of all time in the history of life ever. Anyways here's the caption "Baseball great Jackie Robinson showing son Jackie Jr. his boyhood home on Pepper St. during break in production of film about his life, "The Jackie Robinson Story"." February 1950. Go Bruins and Go Dodgers!

The Tools Artists Use

Found this cool new site The Tools Artists Use. They sit down and interview artists and um find out what they use, I guess the name pretty much explains it. Cool and interesting if you collect art or if you're too broke to collect art and just wonder how they do it.

Prostars Cartoon

Speaking of Bo Jackson, who out there remembers the Pro Stars cartoon. It featured Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson and Wayne Gretzky (although no characters were voiced by them) fighting crime and helping kids in an awesome early 90's fashion. There were only 13 episodes but this show changed my life. Between Bo and Michael you have my favorite players in basketball, football and baseball. And growing up in LA pretty much puts the Great One up there with them.

Win A Ratatat SE BMX

Yes you heard that right, everyone's favorite hipster band Ratatat has teamed up with SE Bikes along with Fader, imeem and XL Recordings to give away this bike to a lucky fan. Click HERE to find out how to win this custom 2008 OM Flyer. Contest runs through the end of April. FYI I have those same forks on the BMX I'm building at the moment, SE is the business. Probably the best marketing I have seen since Nike's "Bo Knows" campaign.

New LGL Shirts

Just emulsified a new design. Will be printing around 50 of these to hand out to early supporters, you know who you are. There will be 3 colorways, black, red and gold. More to follow...

Air Yeezy

I heard there was a crazy line at the Montalban at the Nike store they're running out of there. I missed the craziness but went in and checked it out for the first time. Really cool store. I particularly enjoyed how they were using the screen of the theatre to play the Detroit/Philly game.

Shepard Fairey x Lance Armstrong

Walked by this while on my way to the Montalban to check out the Nike store. Have seen it for the last couple weeks finally got some film of it.

R.I.P. Marvin
